Bakers Delight Holdings is a member of the Franchise Council of Australia (FCA) and Franchise Association of New Zealand (FANZ).
Much of the company's success is based on its proven business model and the transparency in sharing of ideas across the network.
This was recognised by the company’s recent ranking as the ninth top performing franchise in the industry and the largest, during an independent survey Mar 10 conducted by strategic marketing intelligence company, 10 Thousand Feet, www.topfranchise.com.au.
Bakers Delight's achievement in building a successful business based on growing successful franchises, has been recognised by the FCA and FANZ. In 2001 and 2002 Bakers Delight was voted the 'Australian Franchise System of the Year,' not to mention a financial category winner in 2001. Similarly Bakers Delight New Zealand won four categories in the FANZ business awards in 2001 and 'New Zealand Franchise System of the Year' in 2002.
In 2005 Bakers Delight was recognised by the Australian Retailers Association Victoria (ARAV), receiving the 'Presidents Award' for ongoing positive contribution to the retail industry, as voted by peers in the retail sector.
Bakers Delight was also an 'Australian Franchisor of the Year' finalist in 2005.
In 2008 Bakers Delight was once again recognised by the FCA, picking up ‘Media Campaign of the Year’ at the MYOB Excellence in Franchising Awards 2008 for its Top Sports community engagement program.
Bakers Delight was awarded the ‘Franchisor Social Responsibility Award’ at the 2009 Franchise Council of Australia MYOB Excellence in Franchising Awards. The award recognises Bakers Delight’s commitment and contribution to regional, national and global communities.
In 2009, Bakers Delight was also the finalist for the FCA MYOB ‘Excellence in Marketing Award’ with its integrated recruitment campaign to attract 500 apprentices. Additionally, Bakers Delight franchisee Jo Patterson at Caneland QLD and former franchisees from Geraldton WA, Gerard and Carol Cafferkey, were finalists in the National ‘Franchisee Community Service Award’. Adam and partner Jaclyn Schoene from Bakers Delight Bondi Junction were also finalists for the ‘Single-Unit Franchisee of the Year Award.’
