Recruitment process
1. Enquiry
Request a 'Bakers Delight franchise information pack' by submitting your online enquiry form, or by phoning the Bakers Delight franchise recruitment team on 1300 309 759 AUS / 0800 225 388 NZ.
2. Apply
After conducting your own research into purchasing a Bakers Delight franchise, we welcome your application.
3. First meeting
Upon review of your application you may be invited to meet with a member of the franchise recruitment team.
The first meeting is an introductory meeting designed to inform you of the journey involved in purchasing a franchise. It is also an opportunity for you to find out more about us and ask us any questions you may have.
At this meeting you will be issued with a 'franchisee visit record form' this form is designed to assist in conducting the due diligence process, where you are required to speak to at least
three franchisees about their experience with Bakers Delight.
At this time we will also issue you with an online self assessment for your completion. This form provides more information on you, your financial capacity, strengths and weaknesses.
4. Two day orientation
Upon successful completion of the above, you will be invited to one of our bakeries for a two day orientation. This is designed to give you an insight into the unique day to day operations of a Bakers Delight bakery.
5. Selection interview
Following the two day orientation, you may be invited to attend an additional selection interview to further explore and identify your traits and competencies, matching them to the suitability of running a Bakers Delight franchise.
We may also arrange for you to undertake an external psychometric assessment. At this stage we will conduct reference checks, and ask you to provide us with a completed police record check.
6. Final review
Once all of the above is completed and we feel that you are a good match with ‘Bakers Delight’ you will be invited to attend a final meeting with our Regional Manager.
We strongly encourage both you (and your partner if relevant) to attend as many of the meetings as possible, in particular this one. Even though you may not be conducting the business with your partner they will play an integral part in the business.
All being successful, you will commence franchise training with Bakers Delight.
