Out and about in the community
Helping out the community has been one of the great things operating a Bakers Delight bakery has enabled me to do. Whether it’s been donating bread for local events, having school groups tour the bakery or supporting the Bakers Delight network’s major partner, Breast Cancer Network Australia (BCNA), my team and I just love being able to make a difference. And we aren’t alone – every Bakers Delight bakery gets involved in their local community in some way.
We love being able to support BCNA and making a difference in the lives of women and their families impacted by breast cancer.
The annual Pink Bun fundraising campaign is our time to encourage our customers to get behind gthe cause. You’ll never see a baker voluntarily putting up pink decorations except when it comes to Pink Bun time. We have heaps of fun transforming the bakery into a sea of pink balloons, streamers, pink lady cut outs and of course, the pink buns.
The success of the pink bun campaign is not only a testament to my staff and to Bakers Delight, but to the customers in my area. They get behind us because they know what we do really makes a difference. It’s a great feeling to know that you are helping the community and the community is helping you.
